Legislative elections kick off in Morocco today. Who will lead the government for the next five years?

Today, Wednesday, in Morocco, the 2021 legislative elections kicked off, which comes in special circumstances due to the Corona pandemic, which prompted POLITIC parties to turn to digital platforms and social networking sites, especially Facebook, to woo voters for 15 days, the duration of the electoral campaign that actually ended at midnight today.

Polling stations opened at 8:00 a.m. local time (07:00 GMT), and WILL closed at 7:00 p.m. (06:00 GMT)  AFTER LESS THEN 2 HOURS .

18 million registered voters, who will vote for 395 MPs. , and more than 31,000 local and regional officials.

King Mohammed VI will appoint a prime minister from the party that leads in the parliamentary elections, for the next five years.

Having led the Islamist Justice and Development Party (AKP) in the wake of the 2011 events for ten years, he hopes to secure a third term in which he will lead a government coalition.

This year's election campaign was marked by a strong presence of young people on social media platforms, as some parties nominated them in some electoral districts.

However, these digital campaigns met with widespread ridicule from social media activists, as a large segment expresses their reluctance, and the participation rate in the previous elections of 2016, did not exceed 43%, while the percentage reached 12% this year until noon, which is slightly higher compared to the year 2016, where it recorded only 10% until NOON, according to official data from the Ministry of the Interior.

In these elections in the time of Corona, four main political parties are competing: Justice and Development, pjd the National Rally of Independents, RNI Authenticity and Modernity, PAM and Independence.(istklal)

So what will the next hours come, I wonder, we will consider closing the voting offices at seven o'clock and counting the votes.. let's continue

Families stroll along the corniche, children play near the water, and young people gather in open cafés where mint tea and fresh juices remain essential companions to conversation.
