The invisible enemy (Coronvirus) .. what is exactly going on ?

It all started in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019, a mysterious  virus that targets people with respiratory tract, a deadly virus, but its danger is that it is invisible and spreads at a record speed.

As of this writing, 1431 cases was confirmed in morocco, according to data from the Ministry of Health, and globally, it has infected 1 million, 611 thousand and 80. according Johns Hopkins University of medcine.

The World Health Organization announced on March 11 that the virus is a global pandemic, Covid 19,  is different from its predecessors such as the SARS virus (2003), swine flu, H1N1 (2009), the virus of mers, (2012), and the Ebola virus that appeared in Africa in 2014.

All of these viruses kill humans, but the lethality was very high compared to Coved 19, and it is superior to them in terms of spreading as it travels through sneezing, touching surfaces, and the face.

The virus appeared  first time at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, China

China subsequently took control of the virus and it  spreading socially by Social spacing,  and confinment , which prompted the world to take this decision, and  take the general quarantine decision, with Imposing a health emergency in most countries of the world, for fear of contagion between people in the gatherings, so it closed supposed places for people to gather, such as caffes, restaurants, discos, playgrounds, and theaters. Most sports competitions, cultural and artistic events, were postponed.

The virus was more scary when it appears in Italy last February, and after about two months it has killed  more than 18,000 people in italy. according to worldmetres numbers.

The borders were closed all over the world, some urgent trips remained, the streets became empty, many cities turned into ghost cities, and people came to social networking sites and used the internet in an unprecedented way, even important figures infected by a virus and some celebrities.

After the emergence of the virus, it became obligatory to monitor all travelers at world airport

After that, the virus spread in Europe and America, which turned into a hotspot, and today the largest number of infected people has reached 466 thousand and 294 , according  Johns Hopkins University of Medicine.

The challenge facing humanity today is to invent a vaccine, or at least an effective treatment that can reduce the impact of the virus, especially for older people.

We, as journalists, cover the news of the pandemic, but at first we encountered fake news that quickly spread on social media platforms.

The virus spread widely in Italy before it spread to European countries and the United States

We continue to cover from home quarantine, after the health emergency in the country has been decided from March 20 to April 20, 2020.

We are facing an unprecedented pandemic, a pandemic that will change the features of the world and its economy and indeed will  change our view of the future and life in general.

In the conclusion of this article, I invite all readers and friends to stay  home to protect them selves  and their loved ones, and I also ask them to put masks if they  decide to go out of necessity, and that is protection for them, because wearing  masks in Morocco has become mandatory since Tuesday 7th April 2020.

May God protect  all of you, and surely we will win against this invisible enemy, CoronaVirus, which has emptied the streets that were alive in all parts of the world.
